Mallorca is home to a wealth of long sandy beaches, gorgeous little towns and villages and lots of opportunities to spot native wildlife. But what if you 'little ones' find all this a bit mundane and things grown ups do?? Welcome to Southwest Mallorca’s guide to 'entertaining the kids'!!!
There are plenty of attractions on offer and we are lucky enough to have some of the best ones in the Southwest region of this beautiful island.
Katmandu Theme Park
The kids are going to be well impressed with mum and dad for finding this amazing adrenalin seeking theme park, in the heart of Calvia Beach, Magaluf, Mallorca, and only 250 meters from the sea, this topsy turvy adventure land is a mythical world of adventure rides, 4d encounters and splash park fun! Some of the rides include Asyulm, 5D haunted house and Katlantis, a splash park and play area for smaller guests. There is also Expedition Mini Golf, 2 x 18 hole golf courses including a fire and ice theme!! You can purchase tickets in advance using prices start at £29 per adult and £26 per child, family tickets can be purchased.
Pirate Show
This spectacular show has been running for 31 years and with 3 million customers to date, its no wonder it is rated as Mallorca's No.1 show. An array of dance, acrobatics and gymnastics, this show will entertain young and old, and with a meal thrown in too, what’s not to love!? A true swashbuckling night of laughs, tumbles and tricks.
Western Waterpark
You will find this Wild West Water Park in Magaluf, Mallorca. A huge water attraction for young and old. Rides include the Tam Tam Splash wave pool, mega slides and a wild river ride! There are cool and shady areas in the park which offer a welcom relief to the hot Mallorcan sun. The park is split into 3 areas, El Paso, Indian Town and Westernland, a truly wild day out!!
Marineland
Located in Costa D'en Blanes, Mallorca, Marineland is a experience ideal for those interested in everything aquatic and also just a great family day out. You can expect to see Repiles, sharks and penguins and an underwater Dolphin area a fantastic way to interact with these intelligent mammals before going to watch them do tricks at the dolphin show! Tennis Academy
What an amazing place to lean or improve on your tennis ability, this fantastic facility is to be found in Paguera, Mallorca. Boris Becker and Steffi Graf are just a few of the professional tennis players to have trained here. There are 15 clay courts, a swimming pool, gym, shop and restaurant available. The academy was set up in 1999 by Davis Cup Player Ali Yenilmez. The academy will offer high quality coaching in English, German and of course Spanish. You can also opt for the individual and semi private lessons. The academy runs courses at Easter time and Summer time. The Easter Camp runs between 10-14 April and 17-21 April. The course is held monday - friday for 2 hours per day for 6-14 year olds. The 1 week course is €140 and the 2 week course is €260. The summer Camp is held between 19 June - 15 August. Classes are held Monday - Friday 9.30-16.00 for 6-15 year olds, there is a 3 day minimum.
Go Karting
Karting Magaluf is open from 15th June – 15th September between 10am – midnight. Suitable for ages 3+ and group races can be organised. Catering can also be provided if needed. The cost starts from 22€ for 15 minutes of karting.
Mini Golf Courses
Fantasia Golf Palm Nova offers 3 different tropical courses, with 54 holes and has bars for drinks and snacks. Make your way through waterfalls, tropical gardens and caves. Opens June-September 10am – midnight.
Adventure courses
For the more adventurous families, there is a fantastic course to test your limits, Jungle Park Santa Ponsa offers 3 courses with varying levels, one for children aged 4+ and 2 for adults. Set within 9 hectares of woodland, 3-10m high ladders, bridges, ropes and zip wires, ( safety gear is provided) For smaller children there is a sister park called Jungle Park Junior in Bendinat.
