EES refers to the European Union's new Entry/Exit System, an automated IT system that will register non-EU nationals entering and exiting the Schengen Area. Starting on October 12, 2025, travellers will provide biometric data (fingerprints and facial images) at border kiosks to track their entry and exit, replacing the manual passport stamping process.
