How many courses are there?

With around 20 courses around the whole Island Mallorca has an enviable number of quality courses with the majority being 18 holes. Below are just a few examples of the golf courses you can find in Mallorca. The island's diverse offerings cater to golfers of varying skill levels and preferences, and the pleasant Mediterranean climate allows for year-round golfing opportunities. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or a novice looking to enjoy a round in a beautiful setting, Mallorca's golf courses offer a wide range of options.

1. Son Vida Golf: This is the oldest golf course in Mallorca and one of the island's most prestigious. Located just outside Palma, it offers stunning views of the bay and the city. The course was designed by F.W. Hawtree and offers a challenging and enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels.

2. Arabella Golf Son Muntaner: This course is part of the Arabella Golf Resort, which also includes Son Vida and Son Quint. Designed by Kurt Rossknecht, Son Muntaner is known for its beautiful landscape and natural surroundings. The course features well-maintained fairways and greens, making it a favorite among golfers.

3. Alcanada Golf Club: Situated in the northern part of Mallorca near the town of Alcudia, Alcanada Golf Club offers stunning sea views and a challenging course that was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The club is known for its pristine condition and excellent facilities. The 18 hole course is recognised as one of the finest in Europe.

4. Pula Golf: Located in the east of the island near the town of Son Servera, Pula Golf offers two 18-hole courses, the original Pula and the newer Son Servera. The courses are set in a natural environment with pine trees and rolling terrain, making for a picturesque and enjoyable golf experience.

5. Santa Ponsa Golf: Situated in the southwest of Mallorca, Santa Ponsa Golf Club offers three courses: Santa Ponsa I, II, and III. The Santa Ponsa I course is the most famous and has hosted several professional tournaments. The courses feature a mix of challenges and beautiful views.

6. Golf Park Puntiró: Located in the central part of the island, Golf Park Puntiró is known for its well-maintained fairways and greens. The course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, offers a challenging experience for golfers of all levels and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

7. Golf Son Gual: This exclusive golf course is situated near Palma and was designed by Thomas Himmel. Known for its immaculate condition and stunning landscaping, Son Gual offers a luxurious golfing experience.

8. Golf de Andratx: Located in the southwestern part of the island, Golf de Andratx is a challenging course with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the sea. It is known for its scenic beauty and the demanding layout.

9. Golf Pollenca : Golf Pollensa offers a 9 hole course, integrated perfectly into the beautiful local surroundings, with incredible panoramic views over the Tramuntana mountains, the surrounding olive groves, the s’Albufereta reserve and the bays of Pollença and Alcudia. The short course has an undulating surface and lots of trees, two lakes and other hazards to keep you occupied as you progress. It is considered to be of average difficulty and is therefore suitable for players of all handicaps
10. Real Golf de Bendinat : Real Golf de Bendinat in Majorca offers 18 holes to tackle strategically as you make your way through the course that is built with a combination of valley and mountain terrain, trees, bunkers and lakes. The location of the course offers a unique playing experience between the sea and the surrounding mountains and rewards players for right decisions when it comes to making their shot.

The golf club also offers use of its driving range, putting green and chipping area to practice and perfect your game, and a Clubhouse can be found near the 1st hole which contains a comfortable lounge to take time out to relax.

There is a restaurant area, which consists of a large terrace and dining room, overlooking the spectacular views near the 18th hole, and offers a menu with some wonderful national dishes for you to try throughout the day.
