Eva Dons 3 November 2017 Date of Stay: 1 week in octoberThis is the second time my family from DK stay at this lovely, autentic and beautiful finca. Definitely going back! Beautiful house and garden . And nice distance to everything. And the agency Southmallorca have the best service:-))
Belinda Bowles 18 September 2017 Date of Stay: September 2017Lovely holiday in a wonderful location - great short walk to 3 restaurants in S'Arraco
Emma Yarwood 20 August 2017 Date of Stay: 12th - 19th AugustOur stay at Villa Jardin was absolutely perfect! The Villa and grounds were stunning, the location ideal, good local bars and restaurants, the locals very friendly, we experienced heaven for a week.
Elizabeth Clarkson 16 July 2017 Date of Stay: Wc 8th July 2017This is our second stay at C'an Morell which we thoroughly enjoyed. If you enjoy traditional properties in a beautiful, tranquil setting then this is the place for you. The property is spotlessly clean, well equipped and South West Mallorca very helpful. There are 3 small things that could be improved in the villa itself: change the depressing burgundy & bottle-green bedding; bigger and better glassware, so frustrating trying to make large G & Ts etc in such small glasses; and larger more comfortable sofas for lounging on. These are personal preferences though and small niggles in such a lovely setting. The villa itself is in S'Arraco, a small, sleepy, traditional Mallorca town but is less than €10 in a taxi to the Port or local beaches should you not want to hire a car. The town has a bank, well-stocked store, pharmacy, ATM plus several bars and simple restaurants.
Belinda 27 September 2016 Date of Stay: September 2016Another wonderful, relaxing holiday at this beautiful villa in a lovely location! The villa has great amenities and facilities and the village of S'Arraco provides us with everything we need for a great stay. 3 restaurants and 2 cafe bars within a short walking distance of the villa allow for a variety of venues to eat and drink with the small local supermarket providing us with great top up of supplies following our initial shop at the excellent Mercadona supermarket in Andratx.
Johnny Mowlem 11 August 2016 Date of Stay: August 2016This property is charming. The view entering the driveway to this pretty Finca from the village is enchanting, with beautifully tended gardens and the pool to one side and an orchard to the other. The house is spotlessly clean, with everything provided that you might need for your stay. The bedrooms are large and all have very efficient and quiet air conditioning and comfortable beds. The bathrooms are lovely, with the master bedroom en suite being particularly beautiful. The pool are is very pretty and enjoys fabulous views. The wifi provided is excellent, covering the inside and outside of the property. The views across the village to the mountains are stunning and easily enjoyed from the many terraces. One of my favourite parts of each day was my three minute walk into the quiet village of S'Arraco to get freshly baked pastries and bread for the day from the small, family run supermarket. The village is a snapshot into real rural Mallorca life, with the occasional chime of the village chapel clock, it's an experience to be relished.Very many thanks, especially to Derek for coming out at 1am to meet us and show us around!
Susan Tansley 5 August 2016 Date of Stay: July 2016Myself, my husband and two children (15 and 12) have just come back from having a wonderful time at this relaxing villa. I'm not usually one for going back to the same place as I like experiencing different places, but I think I would have to make an exception here. It had everything we look for - lovely grounds, peace and quiet and, as someone else said, a small but perfectly formed village with the centre being just a couple of minutes walk away. We ate out almost every night in the village and all 3 of the restaurants are lovely to sit in and just watch the world go by. Can also highly recommend SouthWest Mallorca who have been very helpful and gave an excellent overview of things to do in Mallorca before we left.
The Gallon Famoly 27 September 2015 Date of Stay: 1 week A fantastic villa, amazing setting, gardens spectacular, lots of space. We enjoyed lunches and BBQs at the villa and the short stroll into the friendly village. (Wifi wasn't working when we were there but that was the only issue we had). Would love to come back!
The Hedges Family 15 September 2015 Date of Stay: August 2015This is a fabulous house for a family holiday; lots of room to spread out; a wonderful pool; fresh almonds, figs, lemons and tomatoes from the enormous gardens and orchards; really well equipped kitchen; tonnes of towels and plenty of places outside for lunches, reading and chilling out.The town of S'Arracco is small but perfectly formed, there's a great supermarket and two brilliant restaurants - with these and a couple of bbq nights at the villa there was no need to travel further afield. We would highly recommend SouthWest Mallorca Holidays, and this gorgeous villa.
Maria G 13 July 2015 Date of Stay: June 2015We had a wonderful stay and I will definitely recommend your services in the future. The finca was fantastic and we will probably come back next year.
Donna 15 January 2015 Date of Stay: 2014We stayed here with a few other couples travelling as a group for a special birthday. We had an amazing time. The Villa and grounds were superb and well kept. The property was first class with plenty of space and facilities for a wonderful holiday. Very special memories made to last a lifetime. Service from the agent second to none. Looking forward to doing business again.
Belinda Bowles 1 October 2014 Date of Stay: September 2014We all wanted to let you know what a wonderful holiday we had at the Finca! The beautifully kept villa, grounds, pool and its location made it for all of us. Never have any of us come back from a holiday feeling so relaxed and completely refreshed (excellent transfers and journeys there and back did help with our lack of stress!). The villa is very well equipped with plenty of all we required (only thing we couldn't find was a colander!) and the showers were a joy! We found we spent most of our time at the villa, enjoying the gorgeous weather and the cooling pool, only tending to venture out in the evenings to eat in either the lovely local restaurant that has recently opened up in the village or down to the port, a true indication of how much we loved the villa!
Peter Adams 3 October 2013 Date of Stay: September 2013We had a very relaxing week's holiday at C'an Morrell. The villa is in an excellent location with lovely views over the village to the surrounding hills. All the facilities in the villa were of a high standard and worked well. There were 4 adults which meant we had plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. The pool was well used as were the beautiful gardens. The village has more facilities than we were expecting - C'an Prima in same street is a great local bar that also does unpretentious, cheap and tasty food. It was very relaxing, sitting outside the little bars with a cool beer!
Joy Crawford 22 August 2012 Date of Stay: 28 July 2012 - 4 Agust 2012This finca provided an extrememly pleasant holiday for our family group of 8 plus baby. The house is located in well cared for gardens which provide many shady places to sit and enjoy the view over the village and hillside. The pool was used daily by all the family as was the BBQ (cooking on it was a good way of losing weight due it being located in a brick built outdoors kitchen). Our family, (although not prone to watching TV whilst on holiday) were pleased to learn that Ca'n Morrell did have Skye TV enabling them to watch the Olympics. The village of S'arraco is within easy walking distance, useful for fresh bread and grocery supplies.

Location Overview for S'Arraco

S'Arraco

Mallorca Resorts S'Arraco S'Arraco

Welcome to S'Arraco

This is a charming sleepy village within the muncipality of Andratx. In S'Arraco you will find it quiet, relaxing and a truly authentic holiday experience. The village is steeped in architecture where you will find narrow streets, stone buildings and quaint squares,

S'Arraco is a close knit community and you will find locals enjoying various traditions and festivals. The village also attracts a number of artists due to its spectacular landscapes and light.

Although the resort is small, as the area is surrounded by the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains, it is extremely picturesque and an ideal location for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling. Golf de Andratx is also a short drive away for the golf enthusiasts among you.

Visit the church: The Church of Sant Carles is a notable landmark in S'Arracó. You can visit this beautiful church to appreciate its architecture and perhaps attend a local religious ceremony.

Hiking and cycling

Being surrounded by beautiful countryside including the Tramuntana Mountain Range, S'Arraco is the perfect base for a hiking/cycling holiday, close by is Cala Llamp Bay for even more scenic beauty. A popular route is S'Arraco - Sant Elm. This is a 7.3km hike and takes around 2 hours. Why not combine this with a boat trip to Sa Dragonera as boats regularly leave St.Elm for this protected nature and marine reserve. Also close by is the the Trappist Monastery of Sa Trapa - a refuge for hikers! For the more active/experienced runner there are trail running routes to enjoy also.

Amenities

As S'Arraco is a small traditional village you will find a small selection of amenities here. There are a handful of restaurants including :

Raco des Puput - this is a small family restaurant which was established in 2014. A variety of tapas, salads, meat dishes, pastas and specialities can be found on the menu. The restaurant is located on Carrer del Atajo, tel 0034 871 517 784 C'an Prima - this quaint restaurant offers excellent quality pizza, burgers and salads and can be found on Carrer d'en tomar monjo tel 0034 971 675 219

There are also 2 bars in the village, a small supermarket, a bakery, chemist and bank. For larger amenities the resorts of Camp de Mar and Port Andratx are just a short drive away. Port Andratx also hosts a local market every Wednesday - perfect for getting you hands on local produce.

Local festivals

There are lots of local festivals throughout the year in S'Arraco and neighbouring villages. Music and celebrations take place during an annual village festival in August.

Golf

S'Arraco is close to upmarket beach and golf resorts - Camp de Mar and The Andratx Golf club are just a short drive away.

Beaches

S'Arracó is not far from the coast, and you can visit nearby beaches such as Camp de Mar, Cala Llamp, or Sant Elm. These beaches offer the chance to relax, swim, or partake in water sports.

So, If you're looking for a quieter and more authentic experience on the island of Mallorca, S'Arracó is a great choice. Its proximity to both the mountains and the coast makes it an excellent base for exploring the natural beauty of the island while enjoying the charm of a traditional Mallorcan village.
