Frequently asked questions about facilities, times, payments and more.

Here at Southwest Mallorca Holidays we want your holiday to run as smoothly as possible, we understand you may have a few questions to ask along the way, here is a list of some of the most frequently asked questions: 

Q. How do I pay?
A. Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer, for most properties we ask for a 25%-30% deposit with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to the stay.

Q. What about key collection/access to the property?
A. You will be met by our agent in Mallorca at the property, they will familiarize you with the villa and provide you with the keys and all the information you need about the villa. Our agents are on call 24/7 should you require assistance during your stay.

Q. How do we get to the villa?
A. We can recommend a company for private transfers, we will provide you with their e mail address/phone number on request and they will provide you with prices and additional help.  We recommend Arash rent a car for your car hire needs, https://www.arashrentacar.com/, again we can provide you with a contact here and they will advise on prices and availability.

Q. What time can I access the villa and what time do I have to depart?
A. Usual access times are between 14.00-15.00 hours and departure times are 10am-11am.

Q. I am arriving on a late flight will we still be met at the villa?
A. Yes, there is however an additional charge for arrivals after 10pm - midnight is £40/€50.  Midnight - 7.30am its £80/€100. We do ask for flight information beforehand.

Q. Can we hire a cot/highchair?
A. Yes, this is no problem, some villas provide these, for those that don’t we can supply travel cots for £20/€25 per week, we do ask that you provide your own lined for this.  Highchairs are £15/€20 per week. These can be added at any time, providing we have notice before you are due to stay.

Q. How often will the villa be cleaned?
A. The villa will be cleaned throughout prior to you arrival. Cleaning varies for each properties, but as a norm for stays of 10 nights or more the villa will have a refresh clean (bathrooms/kitchen) and fresh linen and towels at the end of the first week. Additional cleaning can be arranged on request, there is an additional charge for this and it should be booked prior to your stay.

Q. Do you provide a concierge service?
A.  We will arrange anything you need to make your stay with us more enjoyable.  From chefs, catering needs, babysitters, personal trainers, yacht charter etc . If you ask us we will provide it for you.

Q. What happens in the case of an emergency?
A. We will provide you with a 24hour emergency contact number. You will also be provided with general emergency services numbers including local police ( for your area ) and fire brigade/ nearest hospitals/medical centers. This will be in the holiday information pack which is created especially for you, this is sent within 7 days prior to your arrival.

Q. Do you provide contact numbers for medical centers?
A. Yes, all relevant medical centers, including public hospitals, international private hospital, medical centers in Palma and Palma Nova, British Medical Centre and more are all provided in your information pack.

Q. What about local transport?
A. We provide you with local taxi numbers, public transport is also excellent on the Island . Airline numbers can also be found in your holiday information pack.

Q. Will I get a welcome pack?
A. Most of the villas provide a basic welcome pack i.e bread/milk/coffee but some villas provide more., we can provide extra provisioning if required. We will gladly advise more information on your individual villa at time of enquiry/booking.

Q. I would like to go to the local market, when are they open?

Q. What is there to do in the area?
A. There is always plenty to do in Mallorca.  Fun family day outs, beach clubs, guides to local beaches, golf courses, spas, cycling clubs, sailing, hiking, horse riding are all found in your holiday information pack. Q. How far is it to the beach?
A. Mallorca is blessed with gorgeous sandy beaches/coves.  Information is provided on each individual villa on the website.  You are also provided with local beaches to you in your information pack.
